		<description>You also want to make sure the company doesn&#039;t test on animals.  Cover Girl is a subsidiary of Procter &amp; Gamble, notorious for animal testing.  And I think Maybelline belongs to a corporation notorious for animal testing as well.

Zuzu Luxe, Emani, (available online through vegan retailers), Urban Decay, and Hard Candy are all excellent brands.  Not all of UD and HC are vegan, but you can go to their website for a list of what is vegan.  Beauty Without Cruelty also has some vegan items.  Go for natural cosmetics, and avoid carmine (cochineal) like the plague</description>
