blush powder?

i have this new blush thing i got as a gift from Sephora it is like a little compact thing with a mirror cap then a little powder puff thingy and underneath it blush stored in a little cap. The problem is, I cant get how to get to the blush. I know this sounds stupid but I tried turning the powder thing a bunch of times and it is stiff and I dont think it can be opened that way. I tried wetting it to see if the powder ill come out, but no luck. Does anyone have the same thing and can help me?

if i were you i would turn it towards the "open" and put the puffy thingy on top, put the lid on, turn it over, open the lid and lift the puffy thingy, it should have some blushy stuff on it = )
