Will false eyelashes weaken your real ones?

I use individual false eyelashes on a daily basis because I think they really brighten up my eyes. However I have heard this is not such a good idea because the glue can weaken your eyelashes. I've had a traumatic incident where I've lost my real lashes when I accidentally tugged at my falsies and a bunch of my real ones ripped out with them. How can I make sure my false lashes won't continue to damage my real ones? How do I care for them ?Any advice please?

Stop using individuals. Regular ones work fine and the glue wont be in your lashes it will be above them...you should use less glue too! And be gentle when you remove them!
