So, I just received an acrylic-paints art set....?
She suggested I start with acrylics before moving onto oil painting and I was just wondering... Where the HECK do I start? =P How do I even begin to experiment? What's the best way, on average, to go about learning how to use paints? Especially when I've only got four canvasses to paint on?
Why don't you start by setting up a few fruits and veggies you can buy at the store, then set up your stuff on a nice table cloth with a not to "busy" design on it, try to have it set up so you enjoy looking at it. Take one color and one small brush, one medium sized brush and one large brush and see if you can draw it, then paint it in with simply one color. don't forget to blend the paint down with water...then have fun and see how it works out..
