Can I dye a silk gown? The outter fabric is 100% silk, inner lining is 100% polyester w/ some nylon netting.?

I want to dye it a goldenrod color and it is like a cream color now. The lable says 100% silk inner lining 100% polyester 100% nylon netting. It has a few gold beads sewn on the bodice. There is a large amount of material, It is stain free and has not been treated with anything like scotch guard or the like. I do not mind if it appears wrinkled when finished or not as smooth as it is now. I am wondering if this can be done in a tub with large amounts of hot water and a dye for silk? If so then what? After rinsing is it good to dry and then wear?

Yes, you can, but only the silk will be dyed; the polyester and nylon will stay the color they are now. Also, if the thread used to sew the gown was polyester (likely), then it will stay cream, also, and may show up more than you'd like on the final product.

You'd be best off using an acid dye made specifically for silks -- they can be used on the stovetop with boiling water and a bit of vinegar. DharmaTrading.com has a good selection of acid dyes.

After you dye the dress, you'll need to wash it; you can probably throw it in your washing machine on the gentlest cycle it has. Dry in the dryer on low or tumble.

To unwrinkle the dress afterward, you can steam it or iron it.
