Philosophy Falling Love Perfume
Philosophy Falling Love Perfume
opinions needed on Philosophy's fragrances?
I receieved a sample of Philosophy's "Amazing Grace" scented body lotion, and the smell is amazing. I'm looking for a new perfume, and I'd love to purchase the Amazing Grace perfume but their other fragrance "Falling in Love" looks interesting too. If you've tried these fragrances which do you prefer and why? thanks
I like the smell of Amazing Grace not on me but on women. lol Not too many people wear it either. I got it for my aunt in November and she loves it!

What makes a fragrance endure? Chanel No. 5 has been around for 84 years and there is no indication that he has lost none of its popularity. Coco Chanel used it, Marilyn Monroe put on at bedtime, Nicole Kidman uses. It is available everywhere and well known, however, none of this diminishes its appeal. In fact, there are probably girls in the nursery now that will grow and call Chanel No. 5 of your favorite fragrance.
So why a perfume as the latter are perfumes and other on the road?
Looking at another perfume that came out around the same time as Chanel No. 5. It's called Evening in Paris and was invented by the same perfumer who developed No. 5 for Coco Chanel. He was a Russian immigrant named Ernst Breaux Paris. Breaux evening in Paris was a great success, at a time (back in the 1950s) was sales success of fragrances in the U.S.
Evening in Paris is still manufactured, but you have to go to the store to buy the people of Vermont. That the import as a "difficult" the subject. They get it from France, where he still does, but to much less fanfare.
The fact is that the business of perfumes, Like many other businesses, is based on the marketing of their products do and keep in the public eye. When marketing efforts are turned off, a fragrance may fall in distress or just gradually fade from memory.
I suspect that many great and glorious aromas have disappeared from the scene because they simply no longer promotes (or promoted as aggressively) by their manufacturers.
What about the scents that seem out of fashion? So many fragrances to get attached to the fashions of the day disappears over the date of fashion. I suspect that 10 years from now, sugar, fruity aromas so popular today seem less attractive. But all is not to disappear because some are made in the pantheon of classics.
Take Youth Dew, an oriental fragrance, held by Estee Lauder, who was very popular in the late 1960. Youth Dew is a bit on the opposite end of the spectrum of what is popular in today's perfume: Youth Dew is powerful, feminine and full of sensual oriental those notes are now so rare. This perfume is more powerful than anything that is commonly used today. In fact, recently an official remake Youth Dew perfume in order to update form of Youth Dew Amber Nude (to accommodate the preferences of today's lighter).
But youth remains a classic of condensation because the original still are in the market and continues to be sold and used today. (I carry it, myself ... every now and then.) Why the Youth Dew has lasted despite the fashion for perfume has past is proof of its classic status.
A classic is a perfume that works well. Whether you love or hate it, we must admit that you have balance, harmony, the charm and appeal. For me, classic flavors are memorable. If you can remember what the smell of perfume (albeit imperfect) is likely dealing with a fragrance so skillfully drawn that has the potential classic.
A fragrance of the 1960s have disappeared. Searching Tigress? Tweed? Love?
Some Fragrance at that time are still around, but only more difficult to locate. Remember Coty Muguet du Bois? I consider a classic, not only because they still around, but because it is an incredible fragrance. It is the lily of the valley, but its light weight gives it a quality that makes it extraordinarily fresh suited to the tastes today.
The tastes of today can and can not beat the classics. With an abundance of floral fruit, sweet aromas, and gender, covering the fresh fragrances, the fragrances of the turn of the millennium, are surely going to be distinctive.
Perfumery If we take next? Since the days of Marie Antoinette so far, we've never ventured too far from the flower. It is true that in the days of the Queen of France celebrates natural and flowers were the days celebrated French icon (Coco Chanel), flowers were artificially inoculated with notes "brilliant" aldehyde, and even today, flowers are dressed with the smells of soap (Grace Philosophy) or food (Groove by Carol's daughter).
Then again, it might divert us back to perfume the aromas of spices of the ancient world. The Queen Ester and old before using your myrrh, frankincense and other bitter. Youth Dew was a tribute to this type of odor, and you can still see elements of ancient eastern Azzaro and Angel by Thierry Mugler.
Perfumes are classic things that lasts, not just your skin, but on the store shelf and in the minds of perfume lovers. When a perfume can skip a generation and be used equally by mother and daughter (and grandmother), which is a classic. When a perfume last longer than the color or the latest trends in skirts, could only be a classic.
A classic is a scent that is "young" or "old" or "hip" or "mature." I think it smells even call "day" or "night" paralyzes the classic character of the aromas that only work if, in or out of fashion.
