exactly what i do
but sometime i change it up a little

tips:
- make sure you don't use too much foundation
-put powder around your eyes to stop makeup from smudging
-use a clean eyebrow or eyelash brush to brush out eyelashes after mascara to get rid of clumps and separate them
-always wear sunscreen under your makeup especially since its summer
-change up your makeup from time to time

Girl Poll: What color eyeshadow do you wear every day for your natural look?

I always wear Clinique Quick Eyes Cream Eyeshadow in color Sparkling Nude or Muffin, or Clinique Colour Surge Eyeshadow in any of the tawny shades, or some other stuff by Clinique lol... They're so neutral and pretty!

Black liquid eyeliner(not thick though), and a shimmery white shadow above it.

I generally prefer neutral, but I'm kind of in a bold stage right now. I go in and out, next month I'll probably be back to neutrals.

Usually with those sponge-applicators with holes, you have to twist it a lot (until it clicks) to get the product from the barrel of the pen into the applicator (similar to how you have to pump hand soap a few times when starting a new bottle). Just keep twisting until the gloss squeezes out of the holes in the sponge. If that doesn't work, return it; it's gotta be defective - those things aren't made to be tricky.

I personally think black eyeliner is best, although you should continue wearing brown some of the time cos it would look nice on you. Natural shades are best fir school. Brown would look nice on you.

what type of makeup should i use for two diff. color eyes?

i have one blue eye and one green. all the girls say they are pretty and all the guys say they are cool. but i don't know what color makeup i should use to suit both of them! i don't want one to look amazing and the other look terrible with the color!

Both blue and green look really pretty with golds and yellows.

Maybe instead of a black eyeliner try a gold one. And for eye shadows use soft yellows, it'll make your eyes pop!

In this article we'll be giving you makeup advice on how to choose the foundation best suited to your skin's needs.

As you know, there is a huge variety of make up foundations on the market. Elitemakeup brands are improving their formulas everyday and offering a bigger choice, which makes our task even more complicated. When choosing a foundation it's important to know what type of skin you have, since there are specific products for each type of skin. You can find foundations that are fluid, in powder, compact, with matt effect, brightening, oil free, etc.

It's important to moisturize the skin before applying foundation. This will nourish the skin and make the makeup last much longer.

If you've got dry skin
A fluid, nourishing and creamy foundation is ideal, especially if you're looking for a foundation that covers the skin. Compact elite makeup that turns fluid when you apply it is best for this skin-type. You can also use foundation on a stick or bar. You apply both using a sponge and the degree of coverage will depend on how many layers you apply.

For oily skin
It's important to choose an oil-free fluid with a matt finish. You can also use colored face powder made up of 80% powder and 20% fluid. This kind covers the skin easily and, while the powder eliminates excess shine, its nutrients moisturize dry areas. Apply these in circular movements using a wide brush.

For mixed skin
I recommend a foundation combining fluid and powder. It moisturizes skin while eliminating shine, due to the powder's velvety effect.

It's important to keep up to date with the latest releases and know what type of skin they're suitable for.

Products
Foundations in mousse have an aired creamy texture that's easy to apply and is appropriate for oily and mixed skin, since it turns to powder when it comes in contact with the skin.

Sprays are a good option for skins that do only need a slight coverage. They create a natural finish due to the combination of hot and cold. To use this foundation you need a bit of practice, since it's easy to get dirty when applying them.

Brightening foundations create a radiant effect. Many of them combine fluid with iridiscent pigments, silver and red tones. It gives the skin a unique glow. You can apply them to the whole face or only to specific areas to create a certain light effect.

Those looking exclusively to unify their skin tone and not wanting to look made up as they usually do not use foundation, will find colored moisturizing creams very useful. You can use them on their own or as a pre-foundation to your usual fluid. They will brighten the face and make foundation last much longer.

You can also find some foundations which combine color and treatment. They can be moisturizing creams with sunscreen and with a lifting or tensing effect. Most of them are for dry or mixed skin.

Eye shadow is perhaps the most beloved cosmetics of creative makeup artists. Since eyes are the most important focal point of the face, the eye makeup techniques and choice of colors for eye shadow should suit the shape and color of your eyes.

Eye shadow is generally available as:

1. powders which come in compact cases or
2. creams in the form of sticks or pencils or
3. paints in the form of tube that will have a creamy effect when applied but gives a powdery effect once it dries

Here are some eye shadow tips to call your own.

* Don't over do it. The first rule of applying eye shadow is not to over do the amount that you apply. You want a great look for your eyes but you do not want to turn into an old lady with layers of eye shadow on your eyes. Instead, go for a minimal look and it will pay off with an amazing look.

* Dark or light? There are many ways in which to apply your eye shadow. Most will apply a darker shade of eye shadow to the area right above the eyelashes. Then, right under the eyebrow, apply a lighter color. You can mix and match the colors that fit with your tastes. You can even apply a thin layer of a darker eye shadow under the eye right next to your lower eyelashes. This will give a more dramatic look.

Eyeshadow Application Tips

* Before using eyeshadow, use a little powder on the eyelid as a base.

* Eyeshadow is available in many shades. On black eyes, chocolate, green or mauve shades are preferred.

* Eyeshadow is commonly found in powder form but it is also available in cream with a sponge-tip wand and in crayons.

* Eyeshadow should be used for night make-up.

Apply Eye Shadow

From your lash line up to your brow, cover the entire eyelid with a light eye shadow as base. A typical eye makeup consists of this base and a medium, slightly darker shade on the lower eye lid. The color may depend on your preference but it will be safe not to go far from your present outfit. A dark rose or a light blue over a cream, pinkish base can be safely neutral, and you can adjust according to the outfit. But then again, this matching of the eye make up with the clothing should not be overdone. A discreet harmony of colors is essential, and a good makeup should not even bring out the colors but the features. Do not forget to blend. The eye color should not be seen as darker color on top of the light one. Use your finger tips or a brush to carefully spread over one eye shadow over the other, making them almost a natural part of the skin. Do not neglect as well the temple part of the head, or the area where the eye shadow ends. This part should also be well blended, with the colors diffusing unto the skin foundation.

Draw a line over the entire upper portion of the lash line using a pencil eyeliner or a liquid one. The thickness of the line depends on the shape of your eyes, a thicker one makes a small, squinty eye look more rounded and a thin one is advisable to those with bigger eyes. Finish off with a mascara to add volume and length into your lashes.

EYESHADOW HELP PLZ!!?

okk i need a pretty way to do my eyes out of theses eyeshadow colors and if u cud explain how to do it!! thanx
long island sweet tea(a light/medium brown color and itz shimmery)
strawberry daquiri(light medium pink/shimmery)
kir royale(darkish purple/shimmery)
mojito(forest green/shimmery)
summer(light brown/shimmery)
camp(dark brown shimmery)
culteral pearl(white witha pink tinit/shimmery)
ok all these eyeshadows are bare minerals and if u need to no this to no what colors wud look best on me i have blue/green eyes and dirty blonde hair!!

1st cover you eye lid with the same concealer you use for under eyes. (it allows the "shadow" to stay on longer.) Then A) use the "culteral pearl" and cover your whole eye lid. B) use the "kir royale" and blend a nice line on the crease of your eye lid & a lil above. & C) use the "strawberry daquiri" and blend that again on the crease of your eye lid & a lil above on top of the darker color to enhance both. (With both "B & C" leaving to show "A" above and below.)
When that's done use a very small brush with the "kir royale" (color "B") and like a pencil would use that same color for below your bottom eye lashes and rite above your top eye lashes. (Very Thin lines) But not starting in the very corner of your eye by your nose, but a about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way back from there. Then allow that color to go all the way back to the end of your eye at the outside.
I also recommend using brushes and not the "pad brush" that is usually given when bought with the shadow.
